This is Horizon. A beautiful young dog of 1.5 years.

Horizon came with her mother (Mother Nature) and 3 other siblings, Forest (on adoptions website), and 2 brothers. They arrived in June 2023, rescued from cruelty as their mother had had boiling water poured over her. What in the world right? The mom recovered well and now lives along with her (grown) children at the sanctaury.

While the boys of the litter have adjusted well to the sanctuary life, the girls - Horizon and Forest - could excel better in homes, especially Horizon. 

Horizon is not very outgoing. She is a bit more cautious and holds back a little. We think this is mainly because she is intimidated by the high energy that surrounds her from all the incredibly outgoing bigger dogs that live in the same area. Horizon is sweet natured, calm and has a relaxed attitude, so she really doesn't belong in a big pack. She'd rather hang out with you on the couch watching netflix with some pjs on!
