Rice

Rice (Adopted!!)

Rice is a funny litte girl of 7 months old with a little wobble to her walk.

Rice and Curry (in the puppies section) are sister and brother. The two of them were dumped in a rice bag on a beach in the south-west of Sri Lanka, like they were rubbish being thrown out. If they were not found, they would have died. Thankfully, Animal SOS took them in.

At first, little Rice was unable to walk and the team feared she would be disabled for life. But, with a lot of physiotherapy, Rice started walking again! Yay!

Now she can move around easily, but with a slight dance when she walks. This may get better with age and more exercise, but it is hard to tell as she is still in a kennel and hasn't had much run-around time. This is because the clinic is waiting to finish the vaccination protocol before socializing her with the other dogs. Her wobble, if it remains in adulthood, will not slow her down though. It will just be an added quirk to a slightly 'disabled yet walking' dog!

Despite having a rough start, she has continued to be a happy puppy. She is goofy and loves human attention. She is smart and you can definitely train her to be a beautful young lady (or a goofball, whatever you want!). I bet she will keep you and your family laughing with her adorable face and fun dance moves.

Rice is currently getting her vaccinations. Once the vaccination protocol is over, she will be sterilized and microchipped.
