Look at this Dobby look-alike!

Sweet Charu is a 7 month old female pup, who came to Animal SOS in early April, 2024. When she arrived she was diagnosed with a femoral fracture and babesia gibsoni. This is the state of most Sri Lankan Street pups, some get lucky and are found by Animal SOS, some perish on the streets...

Lucky Charu has been through amazing veterinary treatment. Her leg is completely normal and her babesia gibsoni has been treated and managed (it needs to be controlled for the rest of her life with timely tick treatment, which is something we should do with dogs anyway). 

She is sweet, trusting, curious and a bundle of energy. Lucie found it difficult to photograph the little miss as she just would not stand still. She will make an amazing companion for a family with kids or active adults. 

She is currently getting her vaccinations. Once the vaccination protocol is over, Charu will be sterilized and microchipped.
